Life is good when you are in a treasure island
It feels like decades went by since the (Southern Hemisphere) Summer of 2010, when these photos were made. We drove from Porto Alegre to Florianópolis with a brief stop in Garopaba. Most days were hot and rainy, producing wonderful skyscapes. The island offers beaches for all tastes: warm calm waters or intense surf, secluded locations or hype fashion spots.
At that time, I was unaware of Florianópolis’ past in aviation history. It was only later when I started flying myself that I found out about Saint-Exupéry‘s stops in the area when flying with the Aéropostale to South America.
